Once again, Wendy Watts, Town Hall administrator, has organized a week of speakers for local youth during the upcoming Idyllwild School spring break, from March 30 to April 3.<\/p>\n
Just as last year, different individuals will come to Town Hall and talk to the kids on the topic, \u201cWhat do you want to be when you grow up?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAny time Idyllwild School is on break, we step up the activities here,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Each day, a different speaker will visit and describe their job and what they do. This year\u2019s group of speakers represents some different professions from the last year.<\/p>\n
Monday, the first speaker is Wildlife Biologist Todd Hoggan. On Tuesday, Susan Righetti from the Idyllwild Library will be guest speaker in a return engagement from 2014.<\/p>\n
Thursday\u2019s speaker is Dr. Jennifer Gee, director of the James San Jacinto Mountains Reserve, a unit of the University of California Natural Reserve System. The final guest is yoga instructor Lucianna LoPresto on Friday.<\/p>\n
To hear each of these speakers, the event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to noon at Town hall.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Baker and Brew owner Katie White will speak and have cookies for the children to decorate. This one event will have a $5 fee.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is like having a field trip come to us,\u201d Watts said. \u201cIt\u2019s pretty spectacular for the children.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s speakers included firefighters, sheriff\u2019s deputies and the Idyll Beast, as well as Righetti.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
