The Riverside County Sheriff\u2019s Department invites the Hill community to a special \u201cNational Night Out Celebration,\u201d announced Capt. Leonard Purvis of the Hemet Station.<\/p>\n
The event is intended to raise support for crime-prevention awareness and public safety.<\/p>\n
Staff from the Hemet Station will be at the Idyllwild Community Center site from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1.<\/p>\n
Displays of specialized equipment that law enforcement, firefighters and public safety members use will be shown. Also, a host of activities and displays have been arranged for children of all ages.<\/p>\n
The National Association of Town Watch is a nonprofit crime prevention organization dedicated to the development and promotion of crime prevention in communities across the nation. It sponsors the \u201cNational Night Out\u201d throughout the country.<\/p>\n
