We were thrilled to read JP Crumrine\u2019s article entitled \u201cJo\u2019An\u2019s to become Idypark soon.\u201d\u00a0 Like many local residents, we speculated as to what would become of the property ever since for sale signs were posted.<\/p>\n
The best of all options \u2014 a town park for all to enjoy \u2014 will now become reality because of the incredible generosity and community spirit of Dave and Loie Butterfield, along with assistance from Shane Stewart.<\/p>\n
Three cheers to the Butterfields for their donation of the Community Center site, for their matching gifts to fund the facilities to be constructed there and now for their leadership and vision in creating Idypark.<\/p>\n
Hopefully, the Butterfields\u2019 philanthropic spirit will inspire other grateful residents to step up to the plate and support the ICC campaign to underwrite the new Community Center facilities.<\/p>\n
