The reading will be held in the Fireside Room in Nelson Hall on the Idyllwild Arts campus.<\/p>\nThe Dominican-American Alba Cruz-Hacker is the author of \u201cNo Honey for Wild Beasts,\u201d which has been published in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. <\/p>\n
A Pushcart Prize nominee, she was the recipient of the 2007 University of California, Riverside Poet Laureate award, 2007 Tomas Rivera selection in poetry and 2010 Poets and Writers\u2019 Reading\/Workshop grant for her work with underserved populations. She has taught at University of California, Riverside, its Palm Desert Graduate Center and at the Richard Hugo House in Seattle. <\/p>\n
