Terry A. Eskew, 55, of Pine Cove, was killed when a vehicle struck his tractor-trailer in Tracy, Calif., on Nov. 1, 2002.

Mr. Eskew was born March 4, 1947, in Moweaqua, Ill. He made Pine Cove his home for the last seven years.

He worked as a driver for USF Reddaway in Fontana for the past five years.

A memorial service was held at the American Legion Post 800 in Idyllwild on Nov. 10, where Mr. Eskew, a Vietnam veteran, received full military honors including an honor guard, a 21-gun salute and the presentation of an American flag to his wife.

Mr. Eskew is survived by his wife, De Eskew; two sons, David Eskew of Eau Claire, Wis. and Jeff Eskew of Las Vegas; a brother, Bob Eskew of Bethany, Ill.; his father, Dwight Eskew of Macon, Ill.; a granddaughter, Kristen Eskew of Eau Claire, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Jodi Sullivan and a stepson, Ande Sullivan, both of Pittsburg, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans, Department of California, 13733 E. Rosecrans Ave., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670, or to the Humane Society of the Desert, P.O. Box 580798, N. Palm Springs, CA 92258.
