Ronald Rasmussen, 54, of Idyllwild, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in Los Angeles, after an 8-month brave battle with MRSA, a deadly illness.

Ron will best be remembered for his ready smile and willingness to help when someone was in need.

Ron’s dog, Buster, preceded him in death the year before. Ron and Buster were always together in Ron’s blue Chevy pickup with a small white camper on back. They were always going to work to do yard cleaning, wood stacking or basic house repairs.

Ron was born in Riverside and spent most of his life in Riverside County.

Close friends held a Christian funeral and burial in Los Angeles on Oct. 20.

“He will be remembered, and all may be assured that Ron and Buster are in heaven with God and at peace now,” wrote a close friend.
