William “Billy” A. Archer of Idyllwild, Calif., died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 51 years old.

Billy was known throughout our community, and many others, for his contagious smile, kind words and willingness to help all. His constant positive attitude in all circumstances was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Billy is survived by his loving partner, Judith Teel; son Richard Archer of Idyllwild; daughter Angela and son Billy, both of Orlando, Fla.; sister Theresa of Oregon; sister Rita of Idaho; and sister Kathy of Washington.

A celebration of Billy’s life will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 11 at 26810 Saunders Meadow Road. Please bring a potluck dish to share, a candle and guitar if you play.
