The Town Crier has been informed of the following opportunities to help children and families on the Hill during the holidays:

• The Red Kettle is a collection site for CHIPS for Kids through Tuesday, Dec. 18.

• New Spirit Vacation Homes and New Spirit Mortgage is sponsoring its first Christmas Toy Drive. You can bring an unwrapped toy to the office at 54325 N. Circle Drive before Saturday, Dec. 22.

• And Analia Lenchantin will be selling her “Cito” at the Post Office this weekend. Part of the proceeds will go to the Idyllwild HELP Center.

  • Playground sign dedicated

    Saturday morning members of the Idyllwild Art Alliance, the Idyllwild Community Recreation Council and artist Dore Capitani (center back row) came together for the dedication of the his sign for the recently built playground. Local metal sculptor Dore Capitani created the sign out of cut metal with powder coating color and the Idyllwild Art Alliance donated it.
