Askim educates Idyllwild audience on contemporary classical music
Conductor and Composer in Residence of Idyllwild Arts, Peter Askim, speaks at the ICRC speakers series on Wednesday evening at the Quiet Creek Gallery. As he gave his talk, “What’s New? The Latest, Greatest, Up-To-Date in Contemporary Classical Music,” he played examples of the music. The event was co-sponsored by the Associates of Idyllwild Arts Foundation.
Idyllwild Community Fund thanks Café Aroma
Bronwyn Jones, Idyllwild Community Fund (ICF) co-chair, presents Hubert Halkin, owner of Café Aroma, with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in thanks for the Café’s continued financial support of the fund. In 2011, ICF gave $12,948 in grants to nine local nonprofit organizations. As the fund grows, so does its ability to give to the community each year.
