Fatality was a rock climber

At 8:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, Noah Jefferson, 20, of Hemet, was driving a white 2017 Ford 250 pickup truck belonging to Mt. San Jacinto State Park when, in a parking lot, he backed into a parked white Saturn Ion registered to Thomas Unwin of Idyllwild. The incident caused minor damage to the Ion.
Tuesday evening, Sept. 11, around 7 p.m., two Pine Cove residents discovered a body near Highway 243 and Jameson Dr. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was investigating. They call for a coroner’s official.
