Ellis back in custody; sentencing set for April 19

On April 7, Ira Robert Ellis, 37, of Poppet Flats admitted a felony violation of his Post-Release Community Supervision in Riverside County Superior Court. Hearing Officer Judith M. Fouladi then reinstated his PRCS with the modification that Ellis is sentenced to 88 days in the county jail.

On Tuesday, April 19, at 8:30 a.m. in Department 63, Riverside, Ellis is scheduled to appear for sentencing on 10 misdemeanor and/or felony charges including possession of a concealed dirk or dagger, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm, mail theft, resisting or obstructing a public officer, hit-and-run property damage, possession of a controlled substance and controlled substance paraphernalia, and three sentencing enhancement charges owing to prior convictions, including a possible three-strikes enhancement.
