An end to the winter doldrums is a click away for arts-lovers who register soon for an Idyllwild Arts Summer Adult or Native American Arts workshops.

Early registration is best because many workshops fill up on the first day — and through March 15, get a 10 percent discount for paying in full when registering.

Workshops are posted now at idyllwildarts.org and registration begins Friday, Feb. 1. Space is limited.

This June, July and August, more than 300 masterful artists will gather in Idyllwild to form a community like no other and create a magical experience for anyone who loves the arts. They’ll teach ceramics, jewelry, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media, textiles, piano, dance and songwriting, and offer a special Writers Week for poetry, fiction and nonfiction.

And workshops in traditional and contemporary Native art forms, including the medicinal and culinary arts, offer an unparalleled immersion in Native American culture.

There are also many free and open-to-the-public events throughout the summer, including performances, exhibits, concerts and lectures.
