Linda was born in Inglewood on July 8, 1950. She grew up in Hawthorne (the Los Angeles area) with an interest in anthropology. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she met and married Daniel Fedrick in 1971.

They raised their only daughter, Allison, who today also lives in Idyllwild and helps to run the family toy store located in town.

Linda and Daniel Fedrick became permanent residents of Idyllwild in 2012. The last eight years of Linda’s life here in Idyllwild were repeatedly noted by her to be the happiest years of her life.

We are saddened that her passing came so soon, since it was here in this mountain that she found so much joy, peace and a return to the love of God.

Linda delighted in her exceptional cooking skills, excellent gardening and great joy of traveling.

Linda’s career included major event planning and special events coordination.

Dan and Linda lived in the Orange County area for most of their marriage, but they were thrilled to find their perfect home in Idyllwild for their retirement.

Linda had a kind, generous spirit and was very often “the life of the party.” She had a bold and free laugh that always encouraged others to laugh along with her.

Linda did her best to be a true, honest and sustaining friend and to enjoy the world’s beauty, including every snowflake to land on the treetops and every squirrel to dig up her garden.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dan, and daughter, Allison. May she remain forever in Christ’s peace and in our hearts.
