Riverside County is looking for applicants to fill a vacant seat on the Idyllwild Historic Preservation Local Review Board.

The board members “review proposed projects within the Idyllwild Historic District. The board provides a recommended approval, denial or approval with changes to the Riverside County Planning Director, who considers the board’s recommendation before approving or denying the project.”

Once regular meetings occur, members must be able to attend meetings at the Idyllwild Library, the county explained.

This is a two-year appointment. No compensation is given to members and the Ralph M. Brown Act must be followed.

For an application, contact Pacifica Hoffenberg at 951-955-3270 or phoffenberg@rivco.org.

Applications are due March 30.

The county outlined: “All appointees shall reside within a three-mile radius of the Historic Preservation District’s boundaries. Applicants’ residency within the proper boundaries will be confirmed before they receive an application.”
