New playground equipment at Town Hall and upcoming open house

The Idyllwild Community Center (ICC) has new outdoor playground equipment at Town Hall, funded by a grant from the Idyllwild Community Fund (ICF) and an anonymous donor.
The ICF, which provided the grant in 2020, is affiliated with The Inland Empire Community Foundation. Since 1999, the ICF has granted more than $300,000 to Idyllwild organizations for the benefit of our communities.
The previous playground equipment was very old and worn. The new playground equipment will be enjoyed by local children participating in ICC’s afterschool program and its summer and holiday camp programs. Additionally, the equipment can be used by children during outdoor events at Town Hall.
On a separate note, plans are well underway for the Town Hall Open House Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents and visitors will enjoy a self-guided tour of the newly restored and renovated Town Hall. Music will be provided on the new outdoor stage and visitors will have an opportunity to meet a variety of local community organizations and groups that will provide information about their particular community focus and activities.
Rumor has it that Mayor Max will stop by to greet constituents and visitors, too!
