Associates host paint ’n’ sip event Oct. 15
The Associates of the Idyllwild Arts Foundation are introducing a new event, Pinot’s Palette. This is a “paint ‘n’ sip” experience taking place in Idyllwild.
All guests will create the same mini-masterpiece. Pinot’s Palette will provide all paints, easel, canvases, brushes, aprons and whatever else may be needed. The Associates will provide the wine, and appetizers for sipping.
The event begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at a private Idyllwild yard, with a social hour where wine and appetizers are served as participants relax and mingle. At 3 p.m., Pinot’s Palette leads the class. The Associates have selected the same artwork to paint. Assistant artists will be provided to help and encourage. At 5 p.m., another social hour will occur to show off the masterpieces and sample a few desserts.
To add to the day, a few raffles will include tickets to another Pinot’s Palette event, wine gift baskets and baskets filled with art supplies. Winning tickets will be drawn after 5 p.m. and winners must be present.
“This is the first Associates’ first off-campus event in our post-pandemic world,” said Associates President Michael Slocum. “I hope members of our community, new and old, will take this opportunity to disconnect from technology for just a few hours. Come and make friends and learn about the Associates of the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.”
The event’s address will be disclosed at the time of ticket purchase. Tickets are $45 and may be purchased at www.associatesofiaf.org or by mailing a check payable to the Associates/Paint n Sip, P.O.
