Idyllwild man found dead in ravine

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported that Fred Robles, 45, of Idyllwild, was found dead in a ravine near Highway 243 about 0.4 miles south of Westley Street in Banning Wednesday, Nov. 1.
It is unknown when Robles died. California Highway Patrol (CHP) Public Information Officer Jonathan Torres said the CHP investigating officer did not have a cause of death. The coroner’s office would have to provide that information, he said, when the autopsy is complete.
