Veterans from the Boots to Books program at Pasadena City College work on the construction of an outdoor cattery at ARF Saturday morning, Sept. 15. According to CHP Officer Steve Storm, around 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, Alex Janowski, 23, of San Jacinto was traveling west on Highway 74 near Mile marker 53 between Mountain Center and Valle Vista when he lost control of his Dodge 4×4 truck, crashing into a ditch. American Medical Response transported Janowski to Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He suffered minor to moderate injuries, partially attributable to not wearing his seatbelt, which resulted in his head hitting the windshield.
