Dolly Parton, country music star whose music touched millions around the world, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at her home in Nashville Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Parton owned a cabin in Idyllwild on Upper Pine Crest for many years, finally selling it in the summer of 2024.

Parton was also a regular visitor to the Meadowlark Holistic Health Center, Dr Evarts Loomis’ retreat for fasting and wellness, which for decades operated on Fairview Drive in Hemet in what was once the Louie B. Mayer compound.
