James M. McCune, 56, of Idyllwild died tragically on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, in an accident.

Mr. McCune was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Duluth, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Becky Johnson.

He is survived and deeply loved by his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Christopher, Sandy and Connor McCune, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Jane E. Rowley of Richfield, Minn.; two sisters, Bonnie S. Barland of Minnetonka, Minn. and Linda J. Haskins of Fairbanks, Alaska; a stepson and his wife, Larry and Christine Macknicki, of San Diego; two nieces.

Lisa Johnson of Eagan, Minn. and Jennifer Williams of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and a nephew, Thomas Haskins of Fairbanks, Alaska.

An open house memorial will be held at his home in Idyllwild from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. Call 659-4397 for directions.
