Lowell Helms, the owner with his wife, Judy, of Uniquies Melting Pot in Village Lane, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002.
The Helms had moved to San Jacinto due to Mr. Helms’ health and sold the business.
Prior to the move, Mr. Helms had been an active volunteer with the Idyllwild Chamber of Commerce.
Idyllwild resident Don Lenik, 84, passed away at his residence in Idyllwild on Tuesday, May 1, said friends Bob and Pat Parish. According to Pat, Lenik died alone from apparent natural causes and his body was discovered several days after his passing. Judy Louise Sommerlad of Idyllwild, died quietly at home Monday, Nov. 11. She moved to Idyllwild from Santa Monica in 1984.
