Robert Wolf Quinlan, 61, of Idyllwild, where he lived for 23 years, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at his residence.

Robert was born March 24, 1947, in New York City.

He served in the U.S. Navy for two tours of duty. He served aboard the WASP and picked up the Gemini space shots during the 1960s.

Robert served as a survival instructor at the SERE Camp in Warner Springs during his second tour of duty. He was employed as an engineer with the Hemet Fire Department for 14 years.

Miller Jones Mortuary & Crematory Inc. in Hemet is handling arrangements. A private service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Twila “TK” Quinlan of Idyllwild; parents John H. Quinlan of Hemet and Mignon Marsh of South Pasadena; sisters Wendy Quinlan of Santa Barbara, Kathleen Quinlan of Glendale and Colleen Currier of Hesperia; and brother John Cory Quinlan of Los Angeles.
