Living Free Animal Sanctuary, which last year celebrated 30 years as a “no-kill” facility, is throwing a party, “It’s All About the Animals,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
The event is fall-themed according to Clay Helgren, Living Free public relations coordinator, and will feature horse-drawn hayrides, live entertainment, sheep herding demonstrations, food, arts and crafts vendors and a silent auction. Auction items include Disneyland tickets, K.D. Lang concert tickets, a Morongo Resort stay, and Sea World tickets.
There is a $5 suggested donation for adults for the event. Children under 12 are free. All proceeds benefit the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of cats and dogs once facing imminent shelter euthanasia. Donations are tax deductible.
Founded in 1980 by Emily Jo Beard, the 153-acre shelter was one of the first “no kill” facilities.
