There is no repeat this year of a Hill contestant moving forward to American Idol’s final 10 and fame. Neither Suzanne Tufan, once an Idyllwild resident, nor Christina (Christy) Barrett of Anza survived Hollywood Week, actually held in Pasadena. Both were eliminated.

So for all those who hold fond remembrances of the “Casey” season, there will be no Suzanne or Christy repeat …

On a brighter note, local author Joanne Bischof has landed a three-book deal to extend, as a new series called “Cadence of Grace,” the characters from her period Appalachia Christian romance, “Cry of My Heart.”

WaterBrook/Multnomah, with more distribution avenues than were available for “Cry of My Heart,” publishes the first book in the new trilogy, “Be Still My Soul,” in the fall of 2012 …
