The Friends of the Idyllwild Library will hold a Memorial Day weekend book sale from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, on the library deck at 54185 Pine Crest Avenue.
Riverside County planners and the contractor are moving rapidly toward the completion of property in Strawberry Plaza and soon Idyllwild will have a new library. The Friends of the Library need to move out all books and media on hand.
The Friends also are eager to raise monies to supply the many amenities, such as technological equipment and storage equipment, for the community to use in the new facility.
There will be many more books and videos available than in the past, as well as reasonably priced collectible books and book sets. A number of history, economics, crafts and children’s books are available. There are also various media types available, such as VHS tapes and CDs. All items are in great condition.
Sunday will feature “A Buck A Bag” sale, in which $1 will buy shoppers a bag of books. This will continue throughout the entire day.
Refreshments will be served.
