Brendan Steele’s troubles continued again last week when he shot a four-over-par (70 and 74) for a total score of 144 during the first two days of the Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas, missing the cut by two strokes.

Once again, the native Idyllwilder’s stats suggested difficulty hitting greens in regulation and leaving himself long putts when he did. His putter also cost him strokes against the field last week, all of which made birdies tough to come by. He did have two stellar spots: he eagled the 542-yard par-5 7th hole both days he played it.

Steele will take this week off from his PGA Tour schedule.
