The Riverside County District Attorney’s office has charged Ron Kimmerle, 49, of Pine Cove, with four felony counts, two for burglary and two for receiving stolen property. Kimmerle remains in custody at Southwest Detention Center in Murietta pending a June 1 felony settlement conference.

The Idyllwild Water District continues to monitor its water supplies and usage. Foster Lake, the district’s largest storage reservoir, showed a slight increase in January. General Manager Terry Lyons reported to the board that the lake’s water level was 6.5 feet, a half-foot improvement. The water level of the wells around the lake remained unchanged…
The Art Alliance of Idyllwild concluded another very successful year, said President Gary Kuscher. “The 2013 Art Walk and Wine Tasting was outstanding. I’m very happy with the results,” he said. Once again, the event established record attendance, Kuscher gushed. “It was sold out and everything went smoothly.” He said AAI purchased 1,224 wine glasses….
The nascent Idyllwild Fire Auxiliary held its second meeting and selected temporary officers. Charles Wix agreed to serve as president. The other officers are Christina Edwards, vice president, Rick Foster, secretary, and Nancy Layton is the treasurer. The group devoted time to reviewing a draft of the articles of incorporation and discussing possible Auxiliary projects….
The Pine Cove Water District (PCWD) Board of Directors held a special meeting Tuesday, July 2. The board quickly reviewed and re-approved ordinance 9, which was originally adopted in May 2017.
