The American Legion Post 800 is serving a free Thanksgiving Day dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Turkey with all the trimmings is served community style with a fire in the fireplace. The Soul Kitchen located in Mountain Harvest Market will also provide a free Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 3 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 10, Scott Shere appeared in Superior Court for a felony settlement conference. The court continued his case until April 23, when a hearing, regarding a referral to the mental health court, was scheduled for April 23. The tentative April 15 preliminary hearing was canceled. Shere remains in custody.
