At 5:59 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, Linda Bannon, 46 of Idyllwild, was driving her 2014 gray Nissan Sentra north on Highway 243 south of Skyland Ranch Road when she lost control on a curve and hit a rock.
Bannon was not injured in the crash and there were no other vehicles involved, according to Officer Darren Meyer, CHP Public Information Officer.
