The Fern Valley Water District has scheduled a special meeting for 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 28 at the District office.
Two items are on the agenda for the morning meeting.
First, the directors will review the applications to fill the vacant board seat created when former Director George Rowell’s resigned earlier this spring.
Two residents — Fred Hamblin and James Gates — have submitted the papers.
Whoever is selected will fill the term through December, but must be elected in the August ballot for the remaining two years of the term.
The agenda also includes a review and discussion of the District’s proposed pipeline project. So far, only one bid was submitted and it was higher than the District’s budget allocation. The award cannot be before June 8.
