Traffic crash on 243 - Idyllwild Town Crier

According to CHP Officer Mike Murawski, Dottie Goldfarb, 87 of Idyllwild was traveling northbound on Highway 243 near lower Saunders Meadow Road around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, when for unknown reasons, Goldfarb lost control of her Toyota Prius, hitting the mountainside with the passenger side of her vehicle. Idyllwild Fire responded to the scene and transported her by ground ambulance to Eisenhower Medical Center with complaints of back pain. No other vehicles were involved, and Highway 243 was reopened after a short time of being closed in both directions. Photo by Jenny Kirchner
