It is a great frustration to have to wait at the traffic collection points both ascending and descending the hill. It would be great if we knew when a caravan left (specific time) so that we could plan our arrival at the assembly area and make the transit in a more efficient manner.
I’m going to be making the trip up and down Highway 243 when it opens. I’d like to know that I can leave Idyllwild at 6 a.m. or 6:30 a.m. and drive straight down the hill. The same goes for the return — knowing the departure times traveling up the hill would let me schedule when I leave work in Riverside to head home to Idyllwild with minimal delay.
