In honor of JP Crumrine’s retirement from the Town Crier, John Hunneman, communications director for State Sen. Jeff Stone, R-La Quinta, stopped by the office on Sept. 24 to present Crumrine with a certificate of recognition.
It reads: “As your state senator, I want to commend you as you head off to your well-deserved retirement from the Idyllwild Town Crier. A free press is the backbone of our democracy. Your many years of bringing the news to the people of your community, as well as your support of events and activities, have been in keeping with the highest standards of professional journalism.”
