This week’s update from Caltrans alerts motorists to delays on Highway 243 South of Idyllwild and North of Pine Cove.
Highway 243 Work Scheduled for Week of November 3
Crews will conduct multiple daytime projects on SR-243 between Mountain Center and Idyllwild from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work will include upgrading storm drainage systems between Baldy Road and Stonewood Canyon Road, and removing and replacing guardrails from McCall Park Trail to Marian View Drive. Expect lane closures with flagging and pilot car operations throughout the week. Occasional night and weekend work may also occur between 8 p.m.–5 a.m. on weeknights and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekends.
