The Idyllwild Community Center (ICC) has been the local partner for the national Feeding America food distribution since March, 2020. ICC distributes Feeding America’s USDA food program, as well as locally donated produce from Bautista Farms in Anza, on the first Tuesday of every month.
Typically, about 105-110 families come to ICC’s monthly distribution to pick up pre-packed food boxes.
On Tuesday, November 4th, in light of the delayed SNAP benefits, ICC handed out almost 150 food boxes, which helps provide groceries to more than 300 local residents free of charge.
In the event that the SNAP delay continues, ICC is prepared to what it can to provide another food distribution later this month. Please stay posted to our local Idyllwild community Facebook pages for additional information.
