In the July 19 issue of the Town Crier, Pamela Jordan, president and head of school for Idyllwild Arts, published a letter to the community. She described the origins of Jazz in the Pines, even before the first festival in 1994, its history and volunteers.
Thirty years can be considered a long time — especially in a job. Fifty years is even longer and after nearly half a century, Steve Fraider is leaving the Idyllwild Arts Summer Programs. But he will never be able to disconnect from the school, as he said, “After Dec. 31, only the employment relationship ends.”…

The Idyllwild Master Chorale embarks on its 36th season preparing for it’s annual Holiday Concert on Dec. 22 and 23. Rehearsals begin Oct. 2 in the music room at Idyllwild School and on each successive Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. until the concert. Singers interested in joining the Master Chorale are most welcome….
