

Sun thwarts Idyllwild ice rink

Unusually warm sunny weather did not help ice rink builders who were attempting to have the new venture open for the Thanksgiving weekend. The bright sun slowed down the freezing of several inches of water that sit atop coils that are covered in plastic sheeting. The rink had not yet opened as of Tuesday. Photo by Cid Castillo
