Shortly before noon a small fire was visible from the U.S. Forest Service Cranston Ranger Station. The Cranston Fire was reported about 1 p.m. It has burned about 20 acres near the Forest Service’s Cranston Station and is about 50 percent contained, according to Carol Underhill, the Forest Service information officer.
