Kenneth Aaron McCaghren, known to his friends as “Jerome,” passed away May 12, 2001, at his home in Bullhead City, Ariz. He was 71.

Mr. McCaghren lived in Idyllwild from 1940 to 1970. He was known for his accomplished craftsmanship in masonry and general construction throughout Idyllwild and the desert area.

He belonged to the volunteer fire departments of Idyllwild and Bullhead City for many years, and had recently served on the Fort Mojave Fire Department Board of Directors.

Mr. McCaghren is survived by his children, Scott McCaghren of Mesa, Ariz., Hurley McCaghren of Hemet, and Janet Woods and Jennifer Klingaman of Idyllwild; and 15 grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mojave Valley, Ariz.
