Joyce Ann Gibson, 63, of Idyllwild, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Hemet Valley Medical Center.

She was born June 18, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Gibson had lived in Idyllwild the last 13 years. She had been a waitress for 30 years and had worked at Granny’s Pies in Idyllwild for five years and Village Market for four years.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet. Inurnment will be private.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Gibson of Hemet; three daughters, Lisa Woods of Idyllwild, Cindy Johnston of Hemet and Jennifer Gibson of Perris; a son, Jeffrey Gibson of Bakersfield; her mother, Martha Cook of Hemet; a sister, Laura Morgan of Arkansas; and 16 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Idyllwild HELP Center, P.O. Box 660, Idyllwild, CA 92549.
