Bob Lewis reported on Town Hall Adult Coed Softball games for the week of July 18.

On Monday, July 18, Ajax hosted the Idyllwild Tea Company Cubs. Matt Alverez had a good game for the Cubs including three doubles and solid defense at shortstop. Maria Loutzenhiser got Ajax started with a couple hits. She also scored a run in Ajax’s 9-1 victory over the Cubs.

On Tuesday, July 19, Creekstone Inn faced Forest Lumber. Creekstone’s Josh White ripped a couple base hits and scored a run to lead his team to a league-leading win. Although Forest Lumber’s Marty Prevosto pitched a good game and got two base hits, Creekstone Inn prevailed 7-3 over Forest Lumber and stayed undefeated.

The next day, July 20, Pacific Slope and Café Aroma played. Unfortunately, down to five guys, Café Aroma played short-handed the whole game. Newly arrived teammate Darren Clowers, just picked up that day, had a good game, scoring a run and driving in two more runs. But Pacific Slope’s Danielle Whitney had three base hits and scored twice, as Pac Slope smoked Café Aroma 15-3.

On Thursday, July 21, Forest Lumber and Ajax returned to the field. This game was close and still tied 3-3 after three innings. While Forest Lumber’s Kayla Anderson had a couple base hits and scored a run, Ajax countered with Freddie Espinoza’s base hits and good pitching. Ajax remained undefeated with a 10-6 win over Forest Lumber.
