Seven films comprised the Filmmaker’s Screenings held at the Rustic Theatre on Saturday, July 30. Under the direction of Ira Abrams, the films were written, directed and produced by students in the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. After the screenings, writers, cinematographers, editors, actors and key personnel in each film took the stage for a bow. Photo by Cid Castillo

Soroptimist event raises nearly $2K, draws more than 60
The evening event raised $1,900 to fight human trafficking. The evening of art, music and information featured Marge Muir (back left) as emcee. Donated art, which local women created, was featured in a silent auction and — along with the admission fee — accounted for the money raised.
