At 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Community Presbyterian Church, children’s author Dr. Seuss will be portrayed in a heart-warming and humorous way by Broadway and film actor Duffy Hudson, who will share the story of Dr. Seuss in the first person and will perform “Horton hears a Who,” “And to Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” “The Zax,” and “Oh The Places You’ll Go,” among many other Seuss classics.
This free program, sponsored by the Friends of the Idyllwild Library, will provide a 45-minute show of great entertainment that is suitable for all ages. The Friends annual meeting will follow the program.
Hudson attended the Circle in the Square Theater School on Broadway, and spent over 14 years on the New York stage. He has directed over 300 theatrical pieces and is currently co-owner of Cincinnatus Motion Pictures, a film company that to date has produced commericals and its first feature film, “Tattered Angel.”
