The second of two speakers featured at the Idyllwild Garden Club’s “Discover Mountain Gardening” event, Joe Walker (above) of Obra Verde Growers, speaks about Australian perennials that grow well in our local mountains. In addition to live plants and seeds, the Idyllwild Garden Club also had on sale more than two-dozen bulb varieties that were packaged with full color photographs and planting instructions. All the packets, totaling 3,000 bulbs, were sold within the first hour.
