Gordon Price

Gordon Price passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. He was was 69 years old. He died from a rare, fast-acting cancer.

Gordon, a long-time Idyllwild resident, was a ranger at Hurkey Creek Campground, musician and song writer.

Gordon was one of the most honest and trustworthy people that anyone had ever come in contact with.

A memorial service in his honor will be Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Hurkey Creek Park.

Gordon was a good pal and the sound of his voice and trusty 12-string will always be remembered. He was about as nice and mellow a person as you will ever meet! Sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye in person, Gordon. Love, The Latimers

Its been too long since I passed through Hurkey Creek...stopped in today to say hello, turns out it was a good-bye way too late. I will always be grateful I met you and got to jam by the campfire. Your encouragement helped me push on in my music & I'll never forget the New Year's party in Idyllwild when you played someof your most beautiful songs right @ midnight. peace !!!
