Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, one man assaulted another near Mountain Top Liquor Store on Highway 243 in Idyllwild to the degree that the victim required hospitalization.
Idyllwild Fire Department Captain Mike Mulhall confirmed that IFPD medics responded at 7:39 p.m. and transported the male victim to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley. Federal law prohibits release of health related information, such as the victim’s identity or any information regarding the severity of the beating.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Hemet Station has not yet released the name of the assailant or any details of the assault.
