Dave Pelham, president of the Idyllwild Community Fund Advisory Board, has announced the availability of an online donation option through PayPal. With just a few “clicks,” members of the community may securely and privately complete a donation to the fund that is committed to helping nonprofit organizations in Idyllwild and adjacent mountain communities.

Past president Bronwyn Jones, who is delighted by this efficient and paperless means of receiving donations, reported that “with the determination and technical abilities of Board President Dave Pelham, we now have a website that enables people to learn about ICF, keep in touch and make donations whenever they choose.”

She also attributes the success of the first fundraising campaign to Chris Maxson, “whose design talent and passion for promotion was instrumental in the creation of a bi-monthly newsletter.” The newsletter keeps recipients informed about the grant making process and updates everyone on the activities of grant recipients.

The ICF Advisory Board will be conducting site visits over the next two weeks to meet with all of this year’s grant applicants.

Grant awards will be made in September at the annual Celebration of Giving reception.

To date, ICF has awarded more than $145,000 to Idyllwild nonprofit organizations that support the community in important ways. To receive the ICF newsletter, email: info@idyllwildcommunityfund.org or visit the website at www.idyllwildcommunityfund.org.
