On Monday, Aug. 20 Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a second search of a home in the 26800 block of Highway 243, near Idyllwild School that led to the arrest of two men. Law enforcement had previously searched the same home in an earlier operation on March 28.

Deputies arrived in five unmarked and one marked patrol car around noon on Monday. Information obtained during interrogation of individuals at the house led to the subsequent arrest of Idyllwild locals Harry Dennis, 26 and Daniel Plott, 43, at Strawberry Plaza in front of Gary’s Deli.

Dennis was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property including firearms and a large container of collectable stamps that are identifiable. Investigators are in the process of trying to locate the rightful owners of the recovered property.
