Patricia and Jim Kent
Pat Kent, 77, wife of Jim Kent, passed away Saturday night after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Ecorse, Mich., on Feb. 20, 1936.

They were married 58 years, and lived in Pine Cove for more than 28 years.

Pat retired from North American Rockwell in 1991.

She and Jim were blessed with five children. Two of their sons, Jay and Keith Kent, predeceased her. Her surviving children are Prof. Roxanne Kent-Drury of Fort Thomas, Ky.; Rhonda Martin of Denver, Colo.; and Katherine Kent of Idyllwild.

Ten grandchildren include Danielle McKnight, a Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy; Andrew McKnight, formerly of Idyllwild; and Ben Kent of Idyllwild.

Before her illnesses and consequential incapacitation, she was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Mile High Radio Club and RACES, and the Idyllwild Mountain Quilters.

A remembrance to celebrate her life will be 3 p.m., Friday, March 15, at the American Legion Hall Post 800.
