The Riverside County Waste Management Department is seeking volunteers to work with the Riverside County Backyard Composting Program. Volunteer master composters attend a training course for four Saturdays, and then donate back a minimum of 40 hours to the program.
Volunteers are needed for staffing Saturday morning workshops, classroom presentations and community group presentations. Learn more about recycling organic resources and get to know others with similar interests.
The training class is from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturdays from Aug. 3 to 24 in Moreno Valley. The department provides books and study materials. Limited seats are available.
